2月9日 Cycles of bloggingI am in love with green at the moment, so I feel the impulse to keep trying out all of the possible green colors for fonts available. Now that I am writing with this one it looks more blue...hmmm.
I am snug at home today, curled up in a sweet fleece blanket by my dear friend Katie...she made it for the baby, but I have comendeared it for the time being. It's so soft and comforting. I am feeling fine in most regards, just very uncomfortable and ready. My Doctor told us yesterday that the baby could come anytime...exciting, but leaves me on pins and needles until things start happening.
I was in the emergency room the night before last...no, not for me. My Dear, Sweet Man gashed open his knuckle on a nail and required stiches...so we headed off to get that taken care of. He requested that I not go into labor that evening...I think it would have made a delightful story to tell for years. :) My going to labor while he's getting stiches...makes me smile. But is wasn't meant to be, they baby is still snuggled in my belly.
People in blog world seem to have a lot going on their lives. These things come in cycles, I think. There are time when people are posting everyday and other times when it is weeks and weeks until they are heard from. Not that this is bad, we all have lives, very full lives that we are living and priorities that don't involve blogging. I just hope to see some posts in the near future from people I enjoy hearing from and knowing how they are. I may in the very same boat however at anytime...blogging will have to take the back burner in the coming weeks, but I promise I will come back when I can. 2月6日 The waiting continues...No baby yet...if anyone was wondering...I'm still waddling along in my tummy brace and chunky shoes eating lots of bananas and plain yogurt with Special K Red Berry cereal (so yummy mixed together)...All is well.
So we are about to have the hard wood floors sanded and refinished in the house...no, the timing is not good, but we have the money and need to have them done. So I am to be shipped off to a friend's house on Thursday to wait out the fumes for a week or so. My belief is that this will be the time the baby decides "I'm ready!" I'll deal and all will be well. So things are being moved to the finished basement and the house made ready. It will be so nice to get them done, we have been wanting to do it for months and months and therefore have had little on the upper floor, furniture wise, in preperation...so once they are done, we can truely move in, which I have been looking forward to.
You may have noticed from the pictures the sweet sweater pictured...yes, "gasp" I got it done finally and I am in love with it! The buttons are vintage 19th century given to me a couple of years ago by a dear sweet lady who passed away this last August. I couldn't think of a more fitting way to use them. I plan to bring the baby home from the hospital wearing this...excited.
I continue to wade through my mounds of thank you notes...Sladkey and I truely blessed and family, friends and co-workers have been so generous...I can't seem to get them all hammered out. So I send a stack every few days and hope that my slowness will be forgiven. I don't want to just say "Thank you" and sign my name, I much prefer making each one personal, hence the slowness on my part.
We got another few inches of snow today...lovely. |
