6月26日 I miss my spices....We are still in temp housing...2 and a half weeks to go.
I have found s few things that I can cook in the small kitchenette and that makes me happy!
However, I am wishing I could do more...everyone on the Food Network are making fabulous things that I long to make...sigh...I hope to never take having flour sugar, garlic, salt, and platic wrap at the ready for granted ever again...you see, all is packed away and I don't want to buy all new, that would be silly.
Elijah has been wearing six month clothes for the last few weeks and he is (as of today) less than one week shy of being five months old. The clothes are big in the body, but we need them for the length...he is long
It is very hot and muggy here with lots of thunder and lightening and dumping rain at times....aaaahhhhh, summer in the Midwest. 6月21日 Paint Chips and InterviewsWell, we are still in temporary housing, but we have bought a house! It's brand new and still has a bit to be done on it so we don't close until July 13th. I'm quite weary of where we are, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...yeah! We got to pick out the tile and carpet...lovely. Then I went to Lowe's and played among the paint chips and picked out the colors for all the rooms (Moon Tide, Berry Red, and Apple Tree...yummy!). I will post pictures when I can. I also had a job interview this afternoon, I feel good about it, but I mean that more in the sense that I have put it all into God's hands and if it is what he has for me then I will be thrilled, but if not I will keep looking. I have a peace about the whole thing. Other then that I have been interviewing daycare centers for Little Man. I hate the thought of putting him in one, so I am pretty picky. This is my Baby and I want the best for him. I have also been trying to find a pediatrician as well. There are so many things that one has to do when one relocates...whew. I have also been knitting again...I was going crazy with nothing to do (I know all of the times that Golden Girls airs on Lifetime throughout the day). David encouraged me to find a yarn store and to find a project...I am knitting my first sock (so exciting). I miss my sewing machine and I am itching to start making new curtains and cushions, but alas, I must wait. I am also busy plotting out the new yard...I have plans to use purple cone flower, jasmine and lavender with perhaps a hosta or two. So I spend a lot of time day dreaming...but, then I have a lot of time to spend at the moment...hugs! 6月4日 S-e-r-r-i...no wait, how's that spelled? We have had a lovely yet busy last few days...many things to mention. Well, Friday night we were total nerds and watched the Scripps National Spelling Bee...Evan O'Dorny won. I never would have thought that I would spend two hours watching really smart children spell...And enjoy it I have to give them all kudos, because it is amazing the words that were given to them to spell...I can't even remember one that I can type in in a mis-spelled form that I can run by spell check. Smart kids...I bow to you. We yet again went house shopping on Saturday...there were some good ones and one in particular that we were pondering, but ever so expensive! We are trying to be wise and not end up being slaves to a mortgage and therefore not being able to do anything else in our lives like travel or go out to eat. If we buy a house about a half hour north the houses are much better priced. We are going to look at two tonight and I really feel like we are on the cusp of making a decision and putting in an offer. I will keep ya posted. I called and pestered on one of the jobs I am very interested in and it is on hold for a couple of weeks and then they will be setting up interviews...I hope I will get one and it is good to know that the job is still out there. I will call and pester again in a couple weeks if I haven't ended up with anything else by then. I have been praying a lot for peace and to trust in God's plan for us and that everything will continue to fall into place. I am feeling much more still and at rest then I was. Well, It is past lunch and I need to eat and I think Elijah is getting hungry too. That's the news for now... |
